Nature's Way

Natural Supplements and health food products are on my list of “must haves”. After suffering from an acute sinus infection for a few weeks, I knew it was time to visit the doctor. The doctor prescribed antibiotics and plenty of rest. As I was leaving one of my girl friends called me. She suggested that I visit an Herbalist or a health food store rather than filling the prescription at the pharmacy. I was scared to go against the doctor’s orders, but I did and I’m feeling great.

The herbalist prescribed a sinus medicine that has natural herbs like Ginger root, Goldenseal root, and Echinacea purpurea herb. After speaking with the Herbalist for about 10 minutes; I also found out why I had been suffering from insomnia. I thought it was all stress related … trying to go to bed with too much stuff on my mind, but it turns out that I was taking my vitamins the wrong way! I was taking vitamin C after 2:00pm; sometimes after 4:00pm. Taking iron peals and vitamin E at the same time (the vitamin kills the iron); I was also drinking Ginseng just before I would lie down, figuring that a warm cup of tea would put me to sleep. In actuality it was giving me energy and keeping me up! 

By simply smelling pure Eucalyptus and Peppermint Oils, my nasal congestion was revealed. Another great way to freshen up your rooms while you’re under the weather is to wipe the oils on your light bulls. The heat will burn the oil, giving your room a fresh ventilated feeling. Boiling Ginger, Cinnamon and Nutmeg is also one of my favorites. The natural approach is not for everyone, but nature does have a way!
